Jorge Malavet brings more than three decades of service, leadership, legal education, federal accountability, and family-centered values to his campaign for Congress.

Veteran

Began his Navy career as an enlisted sailor and earned his commission, retiring as a U.S. Navy Supply Corps Officer after 20 years of service afloat, ashore, and overseas. A testament to duty, discipline, and perseverance.

Federal Service

Administrative Officer with Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), US Department of Agriculture; Immigration Officer, Chief of Staff, and Regional Branch Chief for Budget, and Financial Management at US Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), Department of Homeland Security.

Executive Leadership

Led strategic financial management and resource alignment to boost operational efficiency and achieve organizational goals across USCIS's Southeast region. Directed end-to-end budgeting (planning, programming, budgeting and execution) for the regional office, four districts, and twenty-four field offices. As Chief of Staff, he directed executive operations across administration, talent management, emergency management, facilities, finance, assets, training, and community and Congressional outreach. As Executive Officer with Defense Finance & Accounting Service, he Led a 340+ employee operations footprint delivering finance and accounting services, shaping customer requirements, optimizing business practices, and controlling costs. As a Department Head aboard a Ballistic Missile Nuclear Submarine (SSBN), he led the supply department, managing logistics, food service, and financial operations that sustained the crew during extended deterrent patrols.
