ABOUT JORGE MALAVET

In September 2025, after a decade of federal service, I concluded my career with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), where I served as Branch Chief for Budget, Assets, and Financial Management in the Southeast Region, Field Operations Directorate. I’m grateful for the colleagues who safeguard our immigration system and for the mission I pursued with integrity and accountability. Previously, I served as Chief of Staff for District S22 in Atlanta, Georgia, overseeing administration, financial management, facilities, asset management, training, safety and security, and community and congressional outreach across an eight-state jurisdiction. I am a retired U.S. Navy Supply Corps officer with 20 years of service, having served afloat, ashore, and overseas. I have more than 30 years of experience leading people, managing resources, and guiding organizational change across the public and private sectors. I hold a Juris Doctor from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, a Master of Public Administration from Troy University, and a Bachelor of Science in Management of Human Resources from Regents College, University of the State of New York. I am a proud husband, father, and grandfather. My hobbies include restoring classic cars, automotive mechanics, collecting automotive memorabilia, and reading history. I have dedicated my career to serving others and building strong, accountable teams. Through personal and professional challenges, I learned hard lessons about respect, integrity, responsibility, and resilience. I bring those traits to public service every day. Though I have stepped away from federal service, my passion for serving the public remains. I believe in government’s power to act with honor and integrity, and I intend to continue serving our community and our country. I am running to be your representative in Congress to deliver common-sense, collaborative solutions, that protect families, strengthen communities, and safeguard our principles and values. Together, with respect, integrity and accountability, we decide what is best for our families, our communities and our country.
